Übung 2: mögliche Fragen
(a) Should schools let AI recommend careers to their students, or should that decision stay with the students themselves?
(b) Do we still need to support local newspapers, or can social media provide local news just as well?
(c) How far can social media take over the job of local journalism?
(a) und (b) sind Entweder-oder-Fragen, weil whether und rather than zwei Seiten vorgeben. (c) fragt nach einem Maß: how far, nicht can.
Übung 3: ein möglicher Schlusssatz
Social media can replace local journalism only partly: they spread news faster than any newspaper, but as long as nobody is paid to check the facts, they cannot do the work of a reporter.
Das muss drin sein
- Zu jeder Aufgabe in Übung 2 eine echte Frage mit Fragezeichen, die den Gegenstand genau trifft.
- Im Schlusssatz ein Maß (only partly, to a large extent …) und eine Bedingung, die sagt, wovon das Urteil abhängt.
Typische Fehlgriffe
- Beim comment ein Einerseits-andererseits ohne Position. Der Operator will eine erkennbare Haltung.
- Beim discuss nur eine Seite. Ohne Gegenseite ist die Aufgabe nur halb bearbeitet.
- Bei to what extent mit „Yes, …“ antworten und Belege stapeln. Gefragt ist, wie weit.
- Die implizite Frage im Kopf lassen statt aufzuschreiben. Dann antwortet der Text oft auf eine andere.
